Mouse Ear Love

One of my favorite things about Disneyland is the fact that adults can get away with wearing Ear Hats and other crazy head gear.  My personal preference are the Minnie Ear headbands because my head just wasn't built for hats.  I still wear the hats but the headbands are a little more fashionable for me. :-)

This year's Christmas Minnie Ears include a Hidden Mickey!  Can you spot it?

And here's our family collection of Mouse Ears.  I'm missing a classic black, so I'll have to get one one of these days.

Epcot: Japan Pavilion

Welcome to those of you joining me from Can Do It Mom AKA MouseFanDiane and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 4th stop on our Magical Blogorail.

November Topic: What is your favorite Epcot World Showcase Pavilion?

Epcot is my absolute favorite park at Walt Disney World. The World Showcase Pavilion features several countries from Canada to Morocco to China to Italy. Each pavilion (country) features restaurants and quick service meals featuring food from that country. All souvenir shops feature items that are unique to the country, attractions (mix of rides and shows) and each offers live entertainment. What's great is that the Cast Members working in each pavilion are actually from that country. Of the 11 countries that are featured, Japan is my favorite.

There are two places to eat. Tokyo Dining and Teppan Edo. Teppan Edo is similar to Benihana's where they cook your meal in front of you. All the Cast Members are very sweet and polite. The chefs are always entertaining and do tricks with their cooking tools.

The onion-stacked volcano
Matsuriza is a troupe that performs Japanese drum shows called Taiko. I love the sound of these drums and this troupe can really perform!

There is a large store called Mitsukoshi Department Store that features many unique items from Japan including kimonos, umbrellas, hair/jewelry pieces, fans, and even Hello Kitty items. You won't find any Mickey or Disney items here. My daughter's favorite souvenir came from the Japan pavilion. We purchased a pink Japanese fan and the Cast Member included her name written in Japanese on the fan. It was such a special and personal item and to this day she loves using it!

Hidden Mickeys
There is a koi pond in the pavilion and if you look closer to the drain, you'll find a familiar friend.

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is The Magical Mouse Pad.

Here is the map of our Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stopalong the way and want to reboard:

November 2012: Monthly Disneyland Photo Scavenger Hunt List

The November Scavenger Hunt list is here!

This month's hunt has a snap shot of the item you're tasked to find in each land. Once you find it, snap a photo with it as proof that you found it.  Don't forget to click the image to enlarge and print.

Need to find the rules to the Photo Scavenger Hunt? Visit the tab at the top of this blog for a printable Rules page.

Print out your list and go hunting for the items on your next Disneyland/California Adventure visit. If you’re stuck on something, let me know and I’ll be happy to provide a clue.

Good luck and have fun!
