What I'm Thankful For

Welcome to those of you joining me from Can Do It Mom AKA Mouse Fan Diane and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the 3rd stop on our Magical Blogorail.

November Topic: What are you most thankful for at Disney?

I'm always thankful that Disneyland, and all other Disney parks for that matter, is a place where all members of the family can have a good time.  At any age, there's something for everyone.  There's not a lot of places that can do that.  When I've visited a Six Flags park, the adults just want the thrill rides and the attractions for little ones are a little lame and too cheesy for the adults to enjoy.  Plus, Six Flags just isn't as magical as Disney.

When I take my daughter to show that are for her age group i.e. Disney Junior Live on Stage, I enjoy watching her eye glow with excitement when she sees her favorite characters or when confetti falls from the ceiling.  Other theme parks don't capture that glow from her.

When my husband and I went on our honeymoon to Walt Disney World, we thoroughly enjoyed the parks as there were great places to get a meal, some drinks, and enough thrill rides for the two of us.  Epcot was our favorite because we got to experience the Food & Wine Festival and try new food and drinks from around the world.  WDW was able to cater to us kid-free and we didn't feel like we were out of place.

This past summer, I went with my mother, my daughter and my 4.5 month pregnant belly.  Although I couldn't partake in rides such as Radiator Springs at California Adventure, I was able to have a great time with them despite the different life stages we are in.

When Walt Disney built Disneyland, he wanted it to be a place for families.  And it really is.

Now it's your turn!  What are you most thankful for at the Disney Parks?

Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is Picturing Disney.

  2. I am looking forward to my first trip there in 2014. I think I may actually get very emotional thinking that this is what Walt wanted us to see and expereience.

  6. I agree, it is wonderful that Disney has something everyone can enjoy. And you made a good point about saying how you didn't feel out of place when you went with just you and your husband on your honeymoon. Disney is somewhere where everyone belongs... where everyone is ohana. :)

  7. You're absolutely right - when we take the family to 6 Flags, the younger kids are bored. But at Disney, every single person in our family feels like the magic was made just for them. That's something special!
